Safeguarding concerns

A concern about a child or vulnerable adult, or about the conduct of anyone connected to our work.

If someone is at immediate risk

If a child or adult is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or child protection authority first. Then tell us, so that we can act on our side.

Safeguarding concerns can be raised with our safeguarding lead directly, through a route that does not pass through programme delivery staff. You do not need to be certain — a concern is enough, and raising one will never affect the support anyone receives.

Response times

We are a small team and we would rather reply properly than instantly. General enquiries usually receive a response within a few working days. Safeguarding concerns are treated as urgent and acted on immediately.

[Confirm the organisation’s published response-time commitments before launch.]

A note on what we cannot advise on

We are glad to explain how a particular kind of gift works mechanically. We cannot give tax, legal or financial advice, and we would not attempt to. For planned giving, shares or legacies, please take independent professional advice.
