For organisations

Partnership for organisations, businesses and trusts

We are a straightforward partner: clear about what we will deliver, honest about what we will not, and specific about what did not work.

Ways to partner

Four kinds of organisational partnership

They are not tiers in a pricing table. Pick whichever actually matches what you can offer.

Programme partner

Fund a complete piece of work in a defined community over several years, with direct reporting on it.

What it includes

  • A multi-year funding agreement
  • Detailed reporting against agreed outcomes
  • Direct contact with the programme team
  • Honest reporting of what does not work

Skills and capacity partner

Contribute professional expertise where it strengthens the ministry or our partner organisations.

What it includes

  • Pro bono professional support
  • Capacity building for partner organisations
  • Staff volunteering opportunities
  • Joint learning and review

Workplace and matched giving partner

Enable your employees to give through payroll, and match what they give.

What it includes

  • Payroll giving set-up support
  • Matched giving administration
  • Staff briefings and speaker visits
  • An annual impact summary for your team

Church network partner

Connect a denomination, network or group of congregations with partner communities.

What it includes

  • Coordinated partnership across multiple churches
  • Shared prayer and giving resources
  • Leadership exchange and learning
  • Support for network-wide appeals

What you can expect

How we behave as a funded partner

  • A named contact who knows the programmes, not an account manager.
  • Reporting against outcomes we agreed, in the format you need.
  • Honest reporting of what underperformed or was stopped.
  • Notice if a programme needs to change, before it changes.
  • No inflated figures, and no metric we cannot evidence.
  • Full financial accountability for funds transferred to partners.

What we will not do

Some things we decline, politely

  • Accept funding that requires a community to adopt a plan it did not choose.
  • Provide photographs or stories that breach our consent standards.
  • Name a community publicly where doing so would put people at risk.
  • Report a figure we cannot evidence, however much a funder wants it.
  • Accept a partnership that conflicts with our safeguarding standards.
  • Promise outcomes on a timescale we do not believe is realistic.

On due diligence

Most institutional funders and companies run a due diligence process before making a grant, and we welcome it. We will complete your forms, provide governance and financial documentation, and answer questions about safeguarding and risk.

We would also ask you to look at how we report failure, because it tells you more about an organisation than its success metrics do. [Add links to the organisation’s published annual report and accounts once available.]

Skills we can genuinely use

Pro bono professional support is often more valuable to us than an equivalent sum of money, particularly in these areas.

  • Monitoring and evaluation design, especially for long-horizon outcomes.
  • Financial systems and controls, including for partner organisations.
  • Safeguarding policy and practice in international contexts.
  • Legal and compliance support across jurisdictions.
  • Data, IT and information security.
  • Translation and localisation of training material.

What we are usually less able to use is short-burst volunteering that requires significant supervision from a small team. We will tell you honestly if that is the case.

Sponsorship and brand association

We are open to appropriate corporate partnership and cautious about anything that looks like using the communities we serve as marketing material. Any use of our name or images is agreed in writing, and our consent standards for photography apply to your materials exactly as they do to ours.

Let's talk about what fits

Tell us what you have in mind and we will be candid about whether we are the right partner.
