A savings group takes three years. A child's schooling takes more than a decade. Neither can be funded honestly in twelve-month cycles.
Why it matters more than the amount
Predictability is the thing we actually need
Fundraising appeals tend to emphasise size. In our experience the more important variable is predictability, and it is not close.
When we sit down with a community and agree a plan, we are making a commitment that runs for years. A savings group needs three years to mature into something self-sustaining. A teacher development cohort runs across several terms. A reconciliation process between two families might involve a year of patient mediation before anything is agreed at all.
If our income arrives in unpredictable bursts, we have two dishonest options: make commitments we may not be able to keep, or make smaller commitments than the work actually requires. Monthly giving removes that dilemma.
It also lets us fund the unglamorous things. Nobody launches an emergency appeal for a water committee’s refresher training or a five-year post-handover review visit — and both are among the most valuable money we spend.

We do not operate donor tiers or badges. A small monthly gift given consistently is worth more to this work than a large occasional one.

One message pauses, reduces, increases or cancels your gift. You will not be pursued or asked to reconsider.

Where your monthly gift goes
Most monthly partners give to “where it is needed most”, and we would gently encourage that. It lets our programme team direct funds to the priorities our partners have actually identified, rather than to whichever cause is easiest to illustrate.
If you would prefer to designate your gift to a specific ministry area, you can, and it will go there. If circumstances ever made that impossible we would contact you rather than quietly reallocate it.
What you will hear from us
A short monthly update with specific requests and news from partner communities, and our annual report with the finances and an honest assessment of outcomes.
You choose what you receive and how often, and you can change it whenever you like. We deliberately keep prayer updates free of fundraising appeals — mixing the two treats prayer as a conversion funnel, and we would rather not.
Giving as a household or small group
Several of our monthly partners give as a family, a house group or a group of colleagues, pooling a monthly amount and praying together for one partner community. If that would suit you, contact us and we will help set it up.
