Why this matters

Spiritual growth, prayer and Christian community — offered freely, never as a condition of help.

We are a Christian organisation, and we are honest about it. We believe people need more than material help, and that the hope we have found in Christ is the best thing we have to offer anyone.

We are equally clear that faith cannot be traded for food. Nobody who comes to us for help is asked what they believe, and nothing they receive depends on their answer. Aid tied to conversion is coercion, and it damages both the gospel and the person.

So discipleship sits alongside our practical work as a genuine invitation — available to anyone who wants it, and freely declined without consequence.

What we do

The work in detail

Specific activities, delivered by partner churches and community leaders.

Bible study and small groups

Small groups meeting in homes and churches for study, prayer and honest conversation, led by local believers and open to anyone.

Scripture provision

Bibles and study materials in local languages for partner churches, leaders and those who ask for them.

Leadership formation

Longer-term formation for pastors and emerging leaders — theology, character, pastoral practice and sustainable ministry.

Children's and youth discipleship

Age-appropriate teaching and mentoring for children and young people, run by trained and safeguarded volunteers from their own community.

Prayer networks

Connecting partner communities with supporters who commit to pray for them by name, and carrying requests in both directions.

Pastoral care and counsel

Training in listening, grief support and trauma awareness, so that spiritual care is competent as well as well-intentioned.

How we work

Principles specific to this ministry

  • No material assistance is ever conditional on belief, attendance or participation.
  • Discipleship is led by local believers, in local languages and forms.
  • Children's work operates under our full safeguarding policy without exception.
  • We serve and employ people of other faiths and none.

What we look for

The change we are actually after

  • People come to faith freely, without material pressure.
  • Local leaders are formed who can teach and care for others.
  • Communities describe the church as trustworthy.
  • Supporters and partner communities pray for one another by name.

These are described qualitatively on purpose. No statistics have been invented for this website — verified figures will be published in our annual reporting.
