Programme Officer

Support partner organisations through the full programme cycle — planning, monitoring, review and honest reporting — with a strong bias towards local decision-making.

The role

What you would be doing

  • Accompany partner organisations through community-led planning
  • Monitor programme delivery and verify reporting
  • Support partners with budgeting, records and safeguarding compliance
  • Write up learning, including what did not work

What we are looking for

  • Experience in community development or humanitarian programming
  • Genuine commitment to locally led practice
  • Strong written English; a second relevant language is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel to partner communities

Working here

We are a small organisation. There is no large team behind you, you will do your own administration, and the work is demanding. Programme roles involve travel to partner communities, sometimes in difficult conditions.

We also expect staff to be able to challenge leadership, and we protect people who do. Safeguarding training is mandatory for every role without exception.
