Your email address and nothing else. We do not ask for a postal address or a phone number, because we do not need them.
We never sell or share your details. Unsubscribe in one click, any time.
What we will not do
- Sell, rent, swap or share your address with anyone, ever.
- Put you into an automated sequence designed to escalate your giving.
- Send fundraising appeals inside a prayer update.
- Email you weekly because engagement metrics suggest we should.
- Make unsubscribing difficult, or ask you to reconsider.
Your choices
You decide what you hear
Monthly newsletter
Stories, news and reporting from across the ministry. The main thing, and for most people the only thing they need.
Prayer updates
More frequent, more specific, and free of any fundraising. Sign up through the prayer team page.
Annual report
Once a year, with the finances and an honest assessment of outcomes. Available to anyone whether they give or not.
Why we send so little
Email marketing practice in the charity sector optimises for engagement, and engagement responds to frequency. Send more and you raise more — for a while.
We have decided against it, for two reasons. The first is that treating supporters as a conversion funnel is an odd way to behave towards people who have chosen to sacrifice something for strangers. The second is that we would rather have people who stay for a decade than people who give twice and unsubscribe.
How your details are handled
We store your email address and your preferences, and nothing else unless you give it to us. It is never sold, rented, swapped or passed to a third party for their own marketing, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately.
Our privacy policy sets out what we hold and your rights over it in full.
