Restoration — Faith, Reconciliation & Hope

The part that makes us who we are

Horizon: Always

What this is

Why restoration matters

A community can have water, income and schooling and still be deeply broken. Wealth does not heal a family that has stopped speaking, or two groups who will not share a market.

Restoration is our name for the work of repairing relationships — between people and God, and between people and one another. It is the reason we are called Ministry of Reconciliation.

We offer it openly and we offer it freely. Nothing anyone receives from us depends on what they believe.

In practice

How this works on the ground

Never conditional

Aid that comes with a requirement to attend, believe or convert is not generosity — it is leverage applied to people who cannot refuse. We do not do it, and we will not fund partners who do.

Every person who comes to us for help receives it without being asked what they believe. The invitation to faith is real, and it is genuinely free to decline.

Reconciliation as practical work

Reconciliation sounds abstract until you watch two families settle a land dispute that had stopped both of them planting, or a congregation split for a decade organise a shared food distribution.

Trained local mediators, community dialogue, trauma healing groups and patient follow-up — this is ordinary, unglamorous, relational work, and it changes material outcomes.

Carried by the local church

Restoration is led by local believers, in local languages, through congregations who will be there for decades. We resource and train; we do not import a spirituality.

And the relationship runs both ways. Supporting churches consistently tell us they were changed more by the partnership than their partners were.

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

2 Corinthians 5:18

Support our restoration work

Give to a specific commitment, or to where it is needed most so our partners can direct it to the greatest need.
