Where we serve

South Asia

Where exclusion, not scarcity, is the deepest problem

Overview

Our work in South Asia

In this region our partners frequently work with communities excluded on the basis of caste, ethnicity or religion — where the barrier is not an absence of resources nearby but an absence of access to them.

Education, safe water, livelihoods and patient reconciliation work across social divides shape the programme here. Much of it is necessarily quiet.

The context shaping this work

  • Social exclusion limiting access to nearby services.
  • Bonded and exploitative labour affecting whole families.
  • Sensitivity around faith-based work requiring discretion.

Prayer

Pray for South Asia

These requests come from partner communities in this region. Our prayer team receives them as they arrive, including urgent ones.

Join the prayer team
  • Families facing exclusion

Partners are working with communities excluded on the basis of caste and ethnicity. Pray for children to be admitted to school without obstruction, and for courage for those advocating on their behalf.

  • Wisdom for partner leaders working quietly

Some of our partners serve in contexts where faith-based work requires real discretion. Pray for wisdom, protection and endurance for them and their families.

“The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”

Psalm 24:1
