Where we serve

West Africa

Growing young populations, and too few routes into work

Overview

Our work in West Africa

Our partners here serve communities with very young populations and very limited routes from school into paid work.

Vocational training, small enterprise support and maternal health run alongside the discipleship and leadership formation that partner churches ask for most often.

The context shaping this work

  • A large cohort of young people leaving school without a trade.
  • Seasonal migration separating families for months at a time.
  • Health facilities that exist but lack equipment and staff.

Prayer

Pray for West Africa

These requests come from partner communities in this region. Our prayer team receives them as they arrive, including urgent ones.

Join the prayer team
  • Young people finishing training

A cohort of trainees is coming to the end of a vocational course. Pray for the mentoring that follows, and for work to be available where they live so they are not forced to migrate.

  • Mothers awaiting delivery

    Urgent

Several mothers in remote communities are approaching delivery with long journeys to the nearest facility. Pray for safe deliveries and for the transport arrangements to hold.

“The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”

Psalm 24:1
